Re-membering ourselves: women in the rite of passage

“Elder of the Scar Clan” by Joanna Powell Colbert

The Call

In many ancient cultures, women are the tenders of the stories, the bearers of creation and life, rooted to the body of the earth. This innate power of women is not power over, but instead power with.

This retreat experience is grounded not just in personal growth and individuation but also in our collective call to action and the context of our interconnectedness. The world sorely misses and needs women to stand in our power now. Women are the bearers to the cup of knowledge and wisdom (who) personify the moral and spiritual authority of this fertile green and blue earth.
